In general, the cost of interpreting services depends on seven factors:
- The number of interpreters required
- The language combinations required
- The complexity of the subject matter
- The duration of the interpreting service
- The type of sound equipment required
- The location of the interpreting service
- The date(s) of the interpreting service
Technical Audio Equipment for Interpreting Services
The contracting of technical audio equipment (soundproof interpreting booths, mixing desks, headphones, microphones, etc.) and sound technicians is usually only required for simultaneous interpreting (conferences, congresses, seminars, etc.) and for certain consecutive interpreting services (press conferences, presentations, etc.). If you are not sure whether your interpreting service requires technical audio equipment please consult with our Interpreting Project Management Department.
